This full day tutorial will take you from the basics of automated unit testing through the bleeding edge of Ruby and Rails testing. Topics covered will include:

  • Test::Unit basics
  • A demonstration of what everyday TDD looks like
  • Testing Rails applications with the built-in Rails test types
  • Mocking and stubbing with the FlexMock framework
  • Test organization and layout
  • Introduction to RSpec and Behavior Driven Development
  • Techniques for managing sample/test data
  • In-browser testing with Selenium on Rails

100% of the tutorial fees will be donated to charity.
